How it started…
Our business began with one product … an eco-smart pop-up inflatable punching bag with custom-print stretch fabric ‘skin’. We call it Bonk Fit; everyone calls it awesome. We outsourced manufacturing to focus on sales. We received a call to produce custom inflatables for the 20th Century Fox movie premier of Ferdinand the Bull. Then, we were asked to produce custom inflatables for Captain Morgan as part of a nationwide bar crawl promotion. We saw our future as an innovator of soft signage and graphics!
We invested in our own production facility to maintain control over product quality and color finish. bFIVE40 is home to the latest dye sublimation and latex printing technology, a custom fabrication shop, sewing operation, and an extensive library of speciality inks and materials, including recycled polyester, stretch fabrics, natural fibers, and PVC-free cling film.
My name is Donna Brin, owner of bFIVE40. I approach business as I do life, with purpose and empowerment. Being deliberate about supporting women-owned business puts real power behind action. Even if you’re not a woman, it’s not difficult to realize the importance of supporting people who do good, regardless of gender, so this world is shaped in a way that all people may contribute.
Our company name is a nod to the raw power of three-dimensionality. Signage is a means of elevating customer experience. It clarifies and captures the essence of a brand, signage in all of its forms — signage for information, for direction, for persuasion, interaction. For us, the 540 concept rings true. 360 degrees makes a perfect two-dimensional circle, a flat shape. At 540 degrees an object breaks the plane and becomes three-dimensional, adding depth to experience — bFIVE40.
Located in Little River, SC, bFIVE40 is the Southeast’s premier designer and innovator of sustainable printed signage, graphics, furnishings and fixtures for leading brands.
